The Town of Dunstable's Council on Aging shared its latest Active Aging newsletter Oct. 29, covering emergency alerts, senior programs and upcoming events.

Residents can enroll in CodeRed, described as a 24 hour emergency notification system now being offered by the town. Sign-up is available from the town's website by clicking the CodeRed logo, through the CodeRed app on the App Store or Google Play, or by texting the keyword DUNSTABLE to 24639.

Weekly Wednesday luncheons continue at the Dunstable Public Library, with lunch served at noon and the space open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for games such as Scrabble and Mexican Train Dominoes. Reservations must be made by the prior Wednesday, and a suggested $5 contribution is voluntary.

On Nov. 4, the library will be open for games, but lunch will not be served because the group is taking an excursion to Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School's student-run Artisan Restaurant. Reservations for that trip are now closed, and attendees are asked to bring a photo ID.

There will be no luncheon Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

On Nov. 18, Bingo returns with Traveling Chef Caterers serving an Asian meal of lemongrass chicken and beef, Asian vegetables, coconut rice and a pineapple dessert. Cost is $5 for lunch or Bingo, or $10 for both, with all proceeds from Bingo going to cash prize winners; all adults are welcome.

Free exercise programs continue, including Monday yoga at 4 p.m. at the Town Hall lower level, now extended through the end of the year, and Bone Builders, an osteoporosis-focused class held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Fridays at 11:15 a.m. at the library. The Fit Over 50 Fitness Fusion class, funded through an Age Span wellness grant, meets Mondays at 11:30 a.m. at Town Hall and remains free.

Monthly wellness check visits with a nurse are held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m. to noon. For Medicare Open Enrollment questions, the newsletter points residents to the SHINE program for information.

The newsletter also introduced Barbara Soloman as Dunstable's new councilor, listing her contact information for residents.
