DUNSTABLE — April 7, 2026 — Dunstable Select Board approves $290,000 forestry truck contract and 2026 town meeting warrant in brief April 7 session. The board unanimously approved a contract with Allegiance Fire and Rescue for a new forestry truck, the bulk of which is covered by a $285,000 grant secured by the fire department, with delivery expected in approximately 10 months. The board also approved the warrant for the May 11 annual town meeting, sponsoring Articles 1 through 12 and Articles 16, 18, 19, 20, and 21, though Town Administrator Dan flagged that Article 18 — a proposed change to when developers must pay affordable housing contributions — may need to be indefinitely postponed at town meeting pending further review by town counsel, prompted by a collection difficulty with Gateway Homes on Westford Street. A $4,140 amendment to the GNAP Architects contract for basement water-leakage inspection at the Union Building and a renewal of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council mutual aid agreement were also approved unanimously.
