Dunstable Select Board Approves $12,600 Union Building Roof Change Order

DUNSTABLE — July 21, 2025 — Dunstable Select Board unanimously approved a $12,600 change order for roof repairs on the Union Building Exterior Renovation Project. Chair Leah D. Basbanes and Member Ronald Mikol voted to accept change order number three, submitted by contractor Pappas Industries and recommended by project architect GNAP Architects, covering the installation of copper flashing beneath approximately 200 slate shingles with exposed factory holes. Board members noted that interior design work is currently out to bid, with Mikol observing, "We haven't even gone inside yet" — signaling that the total rehabilitation cost for the building will grow substantially. The board also confirmed a July 30 joint meeting with Pepperell and Groton on the regional PFAS project.
