DUNSTABLE — Road board allocated Winter Relief funding while opening grant applications for repairs. The Board of Road Commissioners voted unanimously to replenish the salt shed with Winter Relief Assistance Program funds, then direct any remainder to Main, Oak and Mill Street intersection design. The commissioners also unanimously supported a Joint Grass Brook culvert grant and a Shared Streets grant due August 9 for a solar, push-button crosswalk light on Main Street, subject to Historical Commission approval.
Highway Superintendent David Tully reported the salt shed was depleted. The board had rejected a crosswalk proposal last year but voted unanimously to reconsider with added oversight from the Historical Commission.
