Council on Aging · Meeting of April 1, 2026
Dunstable's Council on Aging scheduled a May birthday celebration for residents turning 90 and referred a $30,000 senior fund for library improvements. The Council scheduled the May 13 celebration for seven residents turning 90, choosing a Traveling Chef venue over the May 6 GLVHS option, which could accommodate only 20 to 25 people. The Council also arranged a May 5 dinner at GDRHS with 100 available spots for seniors and discussed possible future field trips to locations including the Fruitlands Museum and Woodman's in Ipswich.
Library Director Maureen Strauss was tasked to prepare a proposal to spend the senior fund on Dunstable Public Library improvements, including flooring replacement, sink replacement, and plumbing repairs to ensure consistent hot water access at the facility where seniors regularly meet.
