Dunstable Affordable Housing Committee voted unanimously to recommend Safe Harbor protection.
Affordable Housing Committee · Meeting of June 1, 2026
Dunstable Affordable Housing Committee voted unanimously to recommend Safe Harbor protection. Chair Jon Hughes asked the Select Board to request a one-year exemption from 40B developments with Zoning Board of Appeals comprehensive permits, with a second year available upon issuance of occupancy permits. The National Heritage MCO project, restricted by endangered turtles on the property, expects to begin construction this fall and finish spring 2028.
A separate walkabout with Habitat for Humanity on the Best Triangle property stalled after Habitat requested $3 million to accompany the project, a figure the Committee deemed beyond budget.
